Courier Printing Company began as an addition to a small newspaper printer near Nashville, Tennessee in the late 1920s. In the 1950s, the business moved from newspaper printing to large scale commercial printing. Over the last 40 years, Courier Printing has evolved into an industry leader in technology and customer service.
On January 31, 2014, Courier Printing was bought by the prestigious RR Donnelley. This acquisition has given Courier countless resources and opportunities that allow it to better serve its customer base. Their impressive capabilities in the areas of printing, media-design, and networking have skyrocketed due to the buyout. Since they are a part of such a vast network of RRD companies, Courier Printing has the expanded capabilities to meet the demands of any creative print project.
Meet the Managers:
Touted as a Consolidated Graphics’ success story, Jeana’s printing career has been on the fast track since graduating from Texas A & M in 1991. Through hard work and dedication, Jeana went from being a sales professional to president in less than ten years. She began her career at Western Lithograph in an extensive management-training program. At Western Lithograph, she worked as a sales representative for four years before being promoted to Sales Manager and Estimating Manager in 1995. Two years later Jeana was promoted to Vice President responsible for sales and operations. In 1999, Consolidated Graphics transferred her to Courier Printing and appointed her president. Under Jeana’s direction, Courier has become the most technologically-advanced commercial printer in Middle Tennessee. Jeana has always enjoyed the customer service aspect of the industry as well as the team atmosphere that is needed to get a project done correctly. Recognizing that, Jeana is involved in the Leadership Development Program which helps Consolidated Graphics hire, train and develop new college graduates for future roles as managers and sales professionals. Jeana’s managerial expertise has been featured in several magazines, including Printing Impressions, Fortune Magazine, and Graphic Arts Monthly. She earned 2005 Executive of the Year in Manufacturing honors from the Nashville Chamber of Commerce and the Nashville Business Journal.
Quality Control Manager
Rob graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1995 with a B.S. in Finance. After college he worked in Commission Accounting at CNA Insurance for 4 years. From there, Rob went to HCA (Hospital Corporation of America) and took an accounting position in the Physician Services division. He managed all accounting responsibilities for up to ten physician practices. Rob then went to a Senior Accounting Position at Brookdale Senior Living where he managed all accounting responsibilities for five senior living facilities. Rob is now the Controller at Courier Printing. He has been here since 2009.
