Keeping up with press productivity
Stacking sheets even and straight on skids for bindery procedures
Notifying pressman or second pressman if fold or cutoff seems out of place

Press Helper

Following instructions
given by the press operator
Monitoring press while running
Operating tow motors and pull paper from inventory
Loading, jogging, and monitoring paper in the feeder
Filling, cleaning and maintaining ink trays
Changing and monitoring chemicals
Changing plates between jobs
Stocking all the supplies for the next shift
Reading job ticket and make sure the correct paper and quantity is pulled
Pulling sheets continually to check specifications (density, color, coverage,
etc.)
Looking for any plate defects
Keeping work area presentable at all times
Some experience is preferred.
